This experiential workshop that weaves together Mindfulness, Yoga and Yoga Nidra with the healing power of Energy Medicine to remember and embody wholeness.

This workshop aims to integrate Western neuroscience/psychology/physiology with ancient wisdom and energy work to help you reclaim your inner healing wisdom and power.

The words Meditation and Medicine come from the same Indo-European root.

Meditation is “the perception of right inward measure”; Medicine is “the restoration of right inward measure”.

In this interactive and restorative workshop, we will practice together to create an embodied sense of that right inward measure by learning new tools that will help us each more skillfully navigate the inevitable challenges of life with more ease, joy and power.

This workshop will include:

~A morning energy practice

~ An exploration of the practices and principles of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and how they can be enhanced and more deeply embodied by weaving energy medicine practices into the work.

~A discussion of stress physiology with an expanded view: integrating the left brain-based western medical model of the neuroscience of trauma and stress with the right brained visceral and sensual practices of meditation, energy medicine, mudras and yoga nidra for balanced, whole person healing.

~A look at the role of the Vagus Nerve in dis-ease, stress and trauma from eastern and western viewpoints and introduction to the polvagal theory with correlation to EEM

~ Experiential practices throughout the day: meditation, mudras, Energy Medicine, Mindful Energy Yoga (accessible to all), and a full hour-long Yoga Nidra (a guided imagery relaxation practice that has the physiologic effect of 2-6 hours of restful sleep and brings the nervous system/energy body into balance).

~ Please dress comfortably for the Yoga Nidra session that is found in the 3rd video and have a yoga mat/blanket/pillow for a more comfortable experience..

She finished 2 years of Eden Energy Medicine training in January 2020.

She also completed several professional training courses with Jon Kabat-Zinn and colleagues at the University of Massachusetts Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society. Gina has used the wisdom of Ayurveda for personal healing since 2000 and completed a 60 hour professional Ayurvedic Nutrition training course with internationally known teacher and author, Amadea Morningstar. She has taught Healthy Cooking classes to cancer patients and their families at Upper Chesapeake Cancer LifeNet in Bel Air, MD.

She has been teaching Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for 18 years for the general public as well as to cancer patients and their caregivers, and currently offers her work on an individual basis.

That’s what I have DONE; Here’s why I am doing this work:

Although I am trained in traditional western medicine, I realized early on that what is missing is an awareness of the need to CREATE the conditions that ALLOW healing! We are not machines and we are not broken. Everything is interconnected and we each have more power that we know.

We have simply lost touch with our power, our inner healing capacity, having essentially given it away to the “authorities” while losing touch with our deepest truest selves.

There is SO much we can do to stay well and create optimal health.

In traditional Chinese Medicine and most ancient wisdom traditions, it is known that Stuck Energy causes Dis-Ease. Sometimes discomfort, sometimes actual physical disease.

The antidote to that is to re-establish FLOW: to no longer hold back; to touch and feel and let go and HEAL.

This is Heart work❣️

I call this foundational healing Self Empowering Medicine.
